PROGRAM DETAILS

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This Mining Basics Short-course is the only complete and accredited geology, mining, and mineral processing continuing-education/professional-development program in the world that is taught by active practising professionals in each field.

Aspects of geology, mining and mineral processing are addressed in the context of exploration, discovery, development and mining of ore deposits, and extraction and production of metals.

This course provides participants with an understanding of the technical terms, methods, processes, the linkages between them, and the ability to better assess the technical risks of mining.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is for people who are interested in a comprehensive synopsis of the mineral resources extraction industry, primarily from a technical perspective.

For people with no technical background in geology or mining, the course provides a basic introduction of the critical technical factors impacting on the success of mining companies.

For those with some technical expertise, the course will serve as a refresher and as a way to integrate their specific knowledge into the broader technical aspects of the mining sector.
